Career Counseling/Vocational Exploration
Working is a central force in the lives of most individuals and it is our philosophy that careful consideration of a person's unique interests, skills, preferences, needs and resources, is central to the process of choosing a career and/or vocation that is fulfilling. Career counseling and vocational exploration services are tailored for each person and might include:
- Vocational interest assessments
- Personality assessment
- Analysis of vocational strengths, marketable skills and needs
- Counseling regarding clarification of goals, dreams, needs
- Research regarding education and work opportunities available in specific geographic locations
- Job shadowing
An individualized plan is established during the initial meeting and a DCC Counselor assists in determining the most effective course of action.
